Puppy Training

At Best Pals, we understand that puppies go through big changes in their first few months — and we’re here to support them (and you) every step of the way. That’s why we offer two specialized programs, each designed for a key stage in your puppy’s development:

Beginner Program (8–12 weeks)

Perfect for brand-new pups, this program focuses on early socialization, gentle structure, and the foundational skills every young puppy needs to start strong.

Star Pup Program (14–20 weeks)

Ideal for slightly older pups, this program builds on the basics while tackling those trickier behaviors that tend to pop up as your puppy grows more curious and confident.

Obedience

In today’s world, our dogs are part of our daily lives — at home, in public spaces, and often even at work or on the go. That’s why obedience training is more than just a nice-to-have , it’s a game-changer.

A well-mannered dog is easier to live with, welcomed more places, and safer in unpredictable situations. But obedience goes beyond good behavior, it’s especially powerful for nervous or unsure dogs. Through training, they gain clarity, confidence, and the comfort of knowing what’s expected of them.

Obedience helps your dog learn:

  • Impulse control, thinking before acting

  • How to earn rewards through focus and cooperation

  • Your clear expectations, leading to a stronger, more trusting bond

And it helps you learn how your dog communicates, processes the world, and learns best, turning training into a two-way conversation. Whether your dog needs just a little bit or a lot of obedience, we are here to help!

Off-Leash

Don’t let the name fool you. While we aim for off-leash reliability, we know that every dog is different, and so are their goals.

Our Off-Leash Program is about creating freedom, confidence, and better communication between you and your dog, no matter what that looks like. For some, it’s the joy of off-leash fetch in an open field. For others, it’s finally being able to enjoy a peaceful walk through a busy park on-leash without pulling, lunging, or stress.

The training tools stay the same, but the curriculum is customized to fit your dog’s needs and your lifestyle goals. Whether your dog is working toward total off-leash reliability or just learning to stay calm and connected around distractions, we’ll meet you where you are, and help you go farther
